How 01 and 02 Local Area Numbers Work

Local Area Numbers are also called STD Codes, Geographic Numbers and UK Area Numbers. Unlike fixed geographic 01 and 02 numbers, our numbers are virtual and come with advanced call handling features.

With fixed line BT 01 and 02 numbers, it is unlikely that you will be able to choose your phone number. With Windsor Telecom you can choose from thousands of highly memorable numbers.

When a customer dials your 01 or 02 local number the call is automatically (and instantly) routed to your existing landline number or mobile number. You can change this target number at anytime online using My Windsor, or via the phone with our Instant Call Rerouting service. Local numbers can be set up quickly and you don't need to install and maintain any software or hardware.

You can also choose to use an 01/02 number as a fax to email line.
